Parimal Shah was appointed to this role in August 2011 with responsibility for product development and launch of next generation Puritan Bennett ventilators. In March 2014, he was acknowledged as a key leader in delivering the Puritan Bennett 980 ventilator to the market while setting the long term strategy, organizational alignment and execution focus at the Carlsbad site. During this period he oversaw acquisition integrations, white space opportunity assessments and portfolio optimization.

Parimal’s career spans 20 years. From 2007-2011, Parimal served as the Director for Research & Development at Baxter Infusion Systems at Irvine, CA. Under his leadership of multiple product development efforts a new roadmap of ambulatory products established growth and innovation drivers in the home care segment.

Parimal joined GE Healthcare in 1996 at Waukesha WI, he progressed through various positions of increasing responsibility in Research & Development at Positron Emission Tomography and Computed Tomography (PET/CT). Parimal established strategic direction for the PET/CT console platform and advanced growth of 3D imaging applications in Cardiac and Pulmonary therapies. In 2007, Parimal led key programs in collaboration with GE & Intermountain Healthcare at Salt Lake City developing a first of a kind electronic medical records solutions.

Born in India, Parimal holds a B.Sc in Electrical Engineering and while at Regional Institute of Technology he published a paper on magnetic Autonomous Guided Vehicles that changed its automotive application in a significant way. Parimal currently is advisor at the Center for Innovation at Children’s hospital Los Angeles and contributes to the Experts in Residence program at Applied Innovation, University of California, Irvine.
